Memorial Day Part 1

For Memorial Day weekend we headed to Kerrville, which is about an hour from San Antonio. It's such a beautiful area and there are several state parks close by. One of the best things about staying in a hotel with kids is their excitement when we see the pool. We couldn't get them in their swimsuits fast enough! They love to swim and the divided pool made it so easy for us all the play together. Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Williams for joining us, we had a great weekend!

Gracie's Preschool Graduation

May brought the end of the school year for Douglas and Gracie. Douglas finished his first year of nursing school and Gracie graduated from Pre-K. We got to attend her graduation and listen to her perform all the sweet songs that she had practiced so hard. She did a great job and she has learned SO much this year. She is reading and writing so well and she's very excited for kindergarten!

Water Fight and Popsicles

While we were spending the weekend at Grandpa and Grandma Williams house, the kids needed to get outside and use some energy. It was a beautiful summer day and what is better on a warm day than a water fight and popsicles? Needless to say, the kids had a blast.

Mother's Day

Of all the rights of women, the greatest is to be a mother.- Lin Yutang
To celebrate Mother's Day, Douglas and the kids surprised me with breakfast in bed and gifts. They were so excited and I felt very loved! Then we drove to Odessa to spend time with his Parents. We all went to church together and then Darlene and I enjoyed our relaxation the rest of the day. Douglas and Riley took care of everything! Douglas took care of the kiddo's and made sure that I got a nap and then he and his dad cooked an amazing meal topped off with Pecan Pie. Yummy! Then more gifts. Clothes and shoes mostly, which I was very excited about!
It's so nice to feel loved and recognized for such a special role that we get to play. I'm grateful for such a great Mother who taught me well and continues to show her support for me everyday.
