Halloween Fun

Yesterday, Gracie and I made sugar cookies together. She was such a great helper! They turned out yummy. Last night we had the Trunk or treat at the ward. We got to see all our friends in their costumes. We all dressed up and had so much fun. Gracie didn't like the scary parts like the skeletons, but she and Marley loved the giant vampire tigger. We didn't realize there would be a costume contest, but we ended up winning first prize! How exciting! Douglas was a Samurai, I was a Geisha, Gracie was princess Ariel and Marley was a ninja. I just love Halloween and getting all dressed up! Today, we had Joy School at our house. We had a halloween party and decorated cookies, made witches, sang songs and had a costume parade.

Happy 1st Birthday Marley!

Marley turned one on October 18th!
We can't believe that the last year has flown by so fast. He's such a happy healthy boy and we're so greatful to have him in our family. We had a monkey party in Odessa, with Grandma and Grandpa Williams. He is after all our little monkey. He loved the party and was so distracted by the people that he wasn't very interested in the cake or gifts. He loved all the attention and most of all the cheetos and balloons. I wanted to get some good cake eating photos, so we tried it again the next day. He loved it! He loved squishing his hands in the icing and wiping it on his face. Thanks to all who celebrated with us and we're sorry we couldn't be with more of you who are far away.

Success!

Last Night I finished Marley's monkey cake. I'm excited that it turned out just like I wanted it to. It's going to be a fun birthday!

Marley Hayden

This is Marley's impersonation of Aunt Jemima. He's good at funny faces. He's such a happy kid and always making us laugh. He loves to eat and weighs almost as much as Gracie. (2& 1/2 years difference!) He's getting closer to walking and he can climb up on all sorts of dangerous things. On October 18th he'll be One! It's crazy and exciting that he's growing up and now a toddler.

Gracie Fe

This was Gracie's first day of Joy School. She was so excited! She's such a sweet, smart girl and she constantly surprises us with her funny comments and her observant personality. She loves being in preschool and she is learning so much. She has allready changed over the last month of school. She just mastered the art of potty-training. Yes!! She loves music just like her Dad and she always wants to listen to Elvis. She's our little peacemaker and always reminds us to "calm down and talk nice."

Douglas & Anita

Douglas and I make a good team, He goes to school and provides for us and I get to stay home and take care of the kids and house. It's crazy to think that we've been married for over 6 years. We're still crazy about each other and it feels like we're the luckiest people alive. We've experienced a lot, but it seems like time has flown by. I'm lucky to have such a great husband and friend.

Old MacDonald

Tonight at dinner Gracie was singing Old MacDonald had a farm. She went through all the animal sounds and then I asked her to please eat her dinner and she replied "With a NO, NO here and a NO, NO there, here a No, there a No, everywhere a No, No!" Even though she was talking back to me I couldn't help but laugh.

We just started this blogging stuff and its a little confusing, but we are trying. This is Douglas and I just wanted to express how happy I am. We were watching the LDS General conference yesterday and President Monson announced a temple to be built in Cordoba, Argentina. That is where I served my mission. I am so excited. We already started making plans to go for the dedication. Most of all I am excited for all the friends of mine who live around there. What a great blessing it will be for them to have the house of the lord so close. Well just a little tidbit of what is going on here.
