Ward Christmas party

Gracie and Marley sat with their friends Sophie,Isaac, Sam, Karleigh and Spencer during the program. Marley(on the left) wanted to wear his skull beenie all night. It went well with his sunday clothes.

Gracie looked so pretty in her Christmas dress

Gracie LOVED Santa Claus!
We had our ward party last weekend and it was so fun. Douglas made a really yummy turkey and I made popcorn balls. We had a nice dinner, program and Santa Claus and then we cleared the tables and had a dance. Most people danced and Gracie especially enjoyed it. Her friend Jonathan asked her to dance and they walked holding hands to the dance floor. They danced for a few songs and unfortunately our camera had run out of batteries. It was so sweet!

Joy School Christmas Program

Hannah, Liesel, Cayden, Aaron and Gracie

Joseph, Mary, and Jesus

Gracie played an Inn keeper and a Shepard

Last week Gracie's Joyschool had their Christmas program. They did such a great job acting out the Christmas story and they also sang "Jingle bells" and "In a little stable". During the practices they weren't all that interested in performing. But, during the program they really smiled and were excited to have an audience. They sang so well and giggled alot. Gracie had one speaking part and when Mary and Joseph came to her Inn she proudly said, "No room." She played the Inn keeper and a shepard. It was such a good learning experience and the kids really seemed to understand the story. They are such smart little kids.

Treasures for Jesus

Gracie and her treasure

This week has been especially stressful with both kids being sick, but today there was a shining moment given to us by Gracie. While we were cleaning we came across and old trophy of mine. Gracie gasped and picked it up to hold it up to her chest. She said "This is the treasure the wise men brought to the baby Jesus!" There was so much excitement in her voice and eyes. She really loves the Christmas story and I can see that christmas magic in her eyes just like I had when I was a little girl. It is so special!
